The following was again before the House in third reading: HOUSE CS FOR CS FOR SENATE BILL NO. 269(FIN) "An Act relating to legislative powers and responsibility with respect to collective bargaining agreements between the state and 2000-03-31 House Journal Page 2805 SB 269 a labor or employee organization representing state employees; and providing for an effective date." The question to be reconsidered: "Shall HCS CSSB 269(FIN) pass the House?" The roll was taken with the following result: HCS CSSB 269(FIN)--RECONSIDERATION Third Reading Final Passage YEAS: 37 NAYS: 0 EXCUSED: 2 ABSENT: 1 Yeas: Austerman, Barnes, Berkowitz, Brice, Bunde, Cissna, Coghill, Cowdery, Croft, Davies, Davis, Dyson, Foster, Green, Grussendorf, Halcro, Harris, Hudson, James, Joule, Kapsner, Kemplen, Kerttula, Kohring, Kott, Masek, Morgan, Mulder, Murkowski, Ogan, Phillips, Porter, Rokeberg, Sanders, Smalley, Therriault, Whitaker Excused: Kookesh, Moses Absent: Williams And so, HCS CSSB 269(FIN) passed the House on reconsideration. Representative Green moved and asked unanimous consent that the roll call on the passage of the bill be considered the roll call on the effective date clause. Representative Berkowitz objected. Representative Therriault placed a call of the House. The call was satisfied. The question to be reconsidered: "Shall the effective date clause be adopted?" Hudson changed from "Nay" to "Yea". And so, the effective date clause was adopted on reconsideration. HCS CSSB 269(FIN) was referred to the Chief Clerk for engrossment.
